Right Royal Knees Up

So Wills and the posh bird are getting hitched. Now you might think that because they're a couple of toffs that they'll be drinking Champagne all day long.
Can't see it myself, you see beneath those two icy posh facades are a couple beer swilling, car stealing, asbo-touting chavs!
I can see it now, Wills sends his butler to the bar, not for more champers but a couple of pints of fosters!

On my wedding day I started by sharing a bottle of Brewdog's Zephyr with my best men, my father-in-law and....sshhhh.....an underager!

Are you married? If so what did you drink on your wedding day?
Are you engaged? do you have a 'beer list' for your wedding day? - Admit it Dredge!
How will you(if you) toast the royal couple on their wedding day?

Will I toast them? Yes I will, after all they're two young people starting their lives together with nothing but their love for one another and a tiny flat in Anglesea!

*add-on question: Are you a brewer? Will you be brewing a beer for the occasion?

Wait, you just described the future king and queen of our fine nation as "two icy posh facades" who "are a couple beer swilling, car stealing, asbo-touting chavs!" That's enough to get you put up for treason!

And yeah, of course I've got a long list of beers ready for my wedding, whenever it might be! I'll need at least two casks of beer plus a few special ones for my best mates and a couple on the table for all the guests. The fact that we want to get married in Greece makes it so much easier... Mythos all round!

A cask of Ringwood Best Bitter was the drink of choice at mine. Lovely drop, but avoid the bottled stuff, dam Marstons and their industrial bottling.

I had suggested Old Thumper but the wife was keen that we didn't have to fish the guests out of the nearby river before the end of the evening.

I had two ploypins of bright real ale at my wedding, both were from the local Milton brewery (just outside Cambridge). After the ceremony, my wife was presented with a glass of the local vineyards bubbly, while I was presented with the first of many pints. I also toasted my wife at the speeches with a pint.

I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Carlberg is the beer of Royal appointment. I hope you'll all be on that to toast the big day.

ESB and London Porter was pretty much all I had apart from one glass of english champagne. Yay for having wedding receptions in a pub.

We had a cask of Harvey's Best at my wedding. After a heavy session on Argentine Malbec it was just what the doctor ordered.

I am sure White Shield and a few others will maintain the tradition of brewing strong beers for important royal births, deaths and marriages. Mind you they are going to have to get on with it just in case the wedding is in the Spring,

Not set a date so all I've got stashed at the moment is a Fullers Vintage 2010 but there will probably be a future Abstrakt and some lambic.

We're getting married next August - we set our date ages ago, so they better not steal it.

Plans for reception beer include Marble Ginger, and something each from Pictish and Phoenix.

@ChrisM - it looks like late May/ early June so I think You'll be fine. Not heard of the Phoenix but Pictish and Marble are great breweries.
@Tom - start stashing mate, believe me, get all the head start you can because money will go on other things like....glitter balls and flowers! Spend the money now!

Whatever you drink on your wedding day do it for enjoyment.
Because after that you'll be drinking to blot out the pain and agony.
Take it from Pie-Tin whose been happily married and drunk for 15 years.

PPT - Just don't drink until you look like a twat, eh?

Glyn - I haven't got time to gossip with you.
The IMF are knocking on the door and there isn't a pot to piss in over here.
If what you read in the press is true.
We're doooooooooooooooomed, I tell you.
