Congratulations to all the The Harp in Covent Garden, they were crowned CAMRA's overall pub of the year.
Now, I've never actually been IN the Harp, this is something I've felt I have to rectify for quite a while now. Sid Boggle is a big fan of The Harp and I value that young man's opinion.
I'll get there in March and do a write up, from what I've heard, they deserve a good one.
Congrats!

The Harp is a good pub like a B&B in the Peak District is a good hotel. and I meant that in a positive way.
This is breaking news to me! Great to hear The Harp's won. It's a cool little pub, busy and bustling but with character and good beers. Plus it's in London!
Excellent!! It is certainly the best pub I have been to in London. Very well deserved!!
Love The Harp, especially on a Sunday when you can get in there and relax a bit with a seat upstairs.
It's also one of those places that feels like it's on a backstreet tucked away in the middle of nowhere even though it's right next to Charring Cross.
But do they sell Harp?
No Harp and no harps. The liars!

You've NEVER been to The Harp?
Wow.
I've liked it for about 5 or 6 years now, but it was only recently-ish I noticed that as well as doing real ales in a consistently excellent way that they rotate in the new & interesting stuff like Thronbridge, BrewDog, Dark Star, etc.
Jason - I am thoroughly ashamed to say no, I have never been. As I said, something I need to rectify, and soon!
Delighted for Binnie and her team. Where Boggle leads, even CAMRA must follow... ;-)
Jesus, even I've been in the Harp and I live in Scotland! Get yourself over there, and before March!
Barm - Unfortunately time is is as short as my pockets are deep!
although i have never been to the Harp i am not likely to go now after Jason has pointed out that they do interesting beers like thornbridge-brewdog and darkstar.im trying to find a pub that doesnt do them in London.cheers
I'm guessing you're a Greene King or Wells Youngs fan then. cheers.
Love the Harp; always get great beer and a nice welcome (which isnt the case more often than not in London!)
