Take Outs

So those crafty keg upstarts at Brewdog are going the way of Russian River and Lovibonds and have started producing Thermos flasks...sorry, Growlers!
I've always been one for take aways (Kebabs mainly) so I think they're an excellent idea and if I had the space at The Rake I'd probably stock Thermos's sorry....Growlers too!
Have a look.
very sleek looking thermos..sorry Growler!
They look not unlike the fonts that Brewdog have in their bars so the branding is at least consistent. I quite like these thermos flasks...sorry, growlers and might get myself one! I have to say that I do prefer the look of the Russian River and Lovibonds growlers though, I think they have a more classical look.

Call me old fashioned by this is my kind of growler!

Now the Brewdog Fan-Boys can take their favourite Brewdog tipples home for ageing/freeze distilling/worshipping!
Good on Brewdog though, finally they have their fingers on the pulse! Thermos...sorry, Growler of Tokyo anyone?

Sorry tickers but it beats a Panda Pop bottle hands down!

I too am quite excited about these new growlers, though it's worth pointing out that this style of flask as 'growler' isn't totally new, Stone among other have had these for a quite a long time. They tend to be way more practical in a home refrigerator then their admittably classier glass siblings.

Hi Ben, I didn't say it was a new thing. But I see your point about them being more fridge friendly.

An unbranded one of those could be good for anyone who likes to drink beer secretly at their work desks!!

I quite like these as growlers. Definitely more light-weight than the heavy glass ones, plus less likely to smash.

Soemthing you'd like to share with your bosses Mark?

Is it a thermos though? If it holds 2.5 pints, then from the photo it strikes me it must be single-skinned aluminium bottle a Sigg bottle.

Oh lord, I seem to have started a debate on method of dispense...
Is it real though?
Brewdog tell me the first 50 sold, come with a free comedy beard!

Love the Old School Russian River Style ones. But BrewDog is not really traditional and we wanted the growlers to match the industrial and utilitarian look of our draft fonts.

We also find the over ornate glass ones tough to clean!Getting them properly clean before you refill is important!

We will send a few down to the Rake once the shipment arrives!

Hey James, I think they look cool really. Agree that they suit the Brewdog style! Looking forward to visiting Brewdog Camden too!

Great to see Growlers cross the pond but is it me or is there a translation problem?

When I was a lad, mates would often boast that "I touched er Growler"; and although it was the Frozen North I don't think they were talking about her thermos.

This is definitely one of the most visually pleasing growlers I've come accross. Crouch Vale in Essex produce a plastic growler which is an excellent idea as it just bounces back when you drop it.

I think they retail for under £4 but can't remember the correct price. Definitely will pick up the Brewdog one just for design.

I thought a "growler" was slang for a pork pie, up north. I know from living in West Yorkshire that they like their pork pies warm but keeping it down there?
